The Dress: Designers WE LOVE!

designers we love

You’re gasping for air already, we know.

The quintessential wedding dress is something every girl dreams of. Cliche as that may sound, it’s true!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve planned mine, in my head and on paper. My siblings know I’m obsessed! Or not so much.

Anyways, it’s the one dress you don’t want to screw up. So the colour of your prom, looking at throwback pics, you realize, was a hot mess. Who cares? At least it wasn’t your wedding gown and you have the chance make the latter work!

So, being here to help you with that, I bring you five of my favorite wedding dress designers, some you may never have heard of. The ones who leave me drooling and wanting everything they stitch! Move aside Pnina (yes, this is for all you die-hard Pnina Tornai/Say Yes to Dress fans *wink*)

I. Galia Lahav

Don’t you just love this dress!

Born into a family of seamstresses (yes, that’s God-given talent!), Galia Lahav is a world-renowned designer with over 30 years of establishment in haute couture dresses. She loved sewing from a young age and combined this with a love for art (evident in her artsy masterpiece gowns). She began in the bridal industry creating custom made wedding gowns for brides and quickly became a sensation in Israel.

Well, she’s a still a sensation and there’s no wonder why!

II. Inbal Dror

One word for this one. Elegant.

A graduate of The Shenkar Fashion Art Academy, Tel Aviv, Inbal Dror is another international haute couture genius! The designer is one with an eye for detail and structure and these amazing dresses ‘exude femininity and elegance which result in looking chic.’

Is there any bride who doesn’t want that?

III. Julie Vino

Sleek and modern. Win!

Julie Vino is one to watch! The designer who’s been ‘creative and artsy‘ since childhood (we can see that ma’am and we love it!), studied fashion design and followed up with internships in her home country of Israel and beyond. She eventually opened her bridal fashion house in Tel Aviv and now creates ‘bridal dresses which are flattering and have a distinctive combination of classic style with modern touch and a strong connection to leading fashion trends‘.

Keep it up Julie!

IV. Steven Khalil

You just want to tie the knot already!

You just want to tie the knot already!

Being fascinated with fabrics, the fall and drape of material‘, Steven Khalil began crafting at a young age and completed fashion school at 19! At 22, he was already Head Designer at a big bridal fashion house!
Yes, this man of promise keeps spinning out these ‘designs renowned for elegance and beauty, combining classical elements of  bygone eras with a contemporary edge.’ We love it!

Last but definitely not least,

V.  Dimitrius Dalia

Breathtaking. Stunning. Everything.

Breathtaking. Stunning. Everything.

Based in Israel and established by Dalia Manasherov, the couturier which offers VIP services around the world, specializes in innovative, out of the ordinary bridal gowns. Their attention to detail is phenomanal and I’d love to see that sketchbook where these beauties are birthed!

Any words to say?
